Dalies Cantilevers 1:87 Scale The scratch built cantilevers are models of the protoype signals located at Dalies New Mexico. I took several photos of each cantilever, and scaled the prototypes to 1:87 by measuring the vertical masts- 12"x12" and 12"x14" for the west approach cantilever. Then resized the photos until the mast measured a scale 1:87 foot, that gave the overall demensions of the entire cantilever. Central Valley makes the exact 12"x12" bridge girder used on the Glorieta sub, and east approach cantilever on the Gallup sub, and Evergreen plastics for platforms, railings and webbing. I place these cantilevers at various point on my layout to be painted as I complete the surrounding scenery.
